- CEP number must be painted or chalked on exchanged carrier(s) to properly identify return carrier(s).
- CEP number must appear on the freight bill.
- You will be invoiced at 50% of list price for those new carriers unless the exchange units are returned to Cummins within 30 days.
- It is the dealer’s responsibility to double check ratios are correct BEFORE installation. Cummins will not be responsible for incorrect or mis-matched ratios installed ( ratio = # teeth - ring gear / # teeth – pinion)
- The carrier must be packaged to protect it from the elements.
- Unit must be drained of oil
- Any damage to exchanged carrier(s) upon receipt will result in invoicing.
Examples of damage:
- Rust
- Removal of components
- Excess miles
- Physical damage
NOTE: Rust will damage the bearings and gearing.
